Director - Mr. T. S. Chu started "S.M.T. ASSEMBLY
LIMITED", a surface mounted assembly business, in Kwai Chung, Hong Kong.

1989
|
The company invested in bonding facilities to take advantage
of the expanding chip on board (COB) business.

1993
|
A partnership was formed with Kinsho
Mataichi Corporation (KMC) - one of the top 20
trading firms in Japan
and under the group of Mitsubishi Corporation.
In the
same year, the company invested over one million US dollars to set up
another factory with 55,000 sq. ft. in Dong Guan, China.
The number of employee was increased to 400..

In accordance with environmental protection, we no longer use
CFS solvent to clean the PCB's.
The
company obtained the ETL approval for telephone system manufacturing.

In order to centralize the company resources, the Hong Kong
